Sun Tunnels (2014)

Unbeknownst to most scholars, land artist Nancy Holt (1938-2014) installed a series of concrete sturctures along Sugarloaf Parkway in Gwinnet County, Georgia. Research is underway to determine if these works proceeded or followed the completion of Holt’s seminal and mythologized piece Sun Tunnels (1976), which is a popular pilgrimage site in remote Wendover Utah.
